Project Description

Project overview

JustPark is one of the UK’s best-known parking platforms, helping drivers reserve parking more easily for everyday journeys, venues and live events.

This project focused on developing a custom WordPress theme for JustPark’s UK event parking experience. The goal was to create a scalable, reusable theme that could support venue-specific landing pages, simplify content management for internal teams and provide a smooth booking journey for users looking to reserve parking before an event.

I built the theme as a flexible WordPress solution with custom templates, ACF-powered content management and reusable front-end sections, giving the JustPark team a reliable foundation for launching and maintaining event-focused landing pages at speed. This kind of work aligns most closely with custom WordPress development, technical SEO and ongoing support for growth-focused landing page ecosystems.

The challenge

The theme needed to balance flexibility, consistency and performance. Each venue landing page had to feel tailored to the event location while still following a unified JustPark experience, and internal teams needed a simple way to manage content without relying on developer support for every update.

Venue-specific page flexibility
Each landing page needed to support unique venue details, booking information, parking lot content and FAQs.
Easy internal content management
Non-technical teams needed structured editing tools that would reduce manual layout changes and keep content consistent.
Clear booking journeys
Users needed an experience that moved quickly from venue information to booking, especially on mobile devices.
Reusable long-term theme architecture
The solution needed to support multiple event and venue pages without becoming difficult to maintain over time.

What was delivered

I developed a custom WordPress theme tailored to JustPark’s UK event parking landing pages, with reusable template sections, structured ACF fields and a front-end experience designed around venue discovery and booking conversion.

Responsive front-end delivery
Layouts were built to work smoothly across desktop and mobile for event-day users.

Key architecture decisions

One of the most important decisions was to build the theme around a structured custom template rather than relying on a generic page builder. That made the experience easier to control, easier to scale and better aligned with the needs of a booking-focused landing page.

Advanced Custom Fields played a central role in the architecture. By using structured fields and repeatable content groups, internal teams could manage page content safely while keeping the layout, hierarchy and user journey consistent across different venue pages.

Template-led WordPress approach
A custom page template provided stronger control over layout and conversion flow.
ACF-powered content modelling
Structured fields made venue content easier to manage and harder to break.
Reusable section-based build
Shared content patterns support faster rollout of future venue pages.
Booking-first UX structure
The page architecture was shaped around helping users find information and act quickly.

Results and outcomes

The outcome was a purpose-built WordPress theme that gave JustPark a more maintainable and scalable foundation for UK event parking landing pages. It improved editorial flexibility, supported faster page launches and created a cleaner, more consistent experience for users booking parking around venues and events.

Stronger content flexibility
Internal teams can manage venue-specific content more easily without rebuilding pages from scratch.
Faster rollout of landing pages
The reusable structure supports quicker launches for new venue and campaign pages.
Better consistency across pages
Shared patterns help maintain a clear JustPark experience across multiple destinations.
Cleaner booking journeys
Users can move from information to reservation more efficiently.
Improved maintainability
The theme is easier to support and extend than a collection of one-off landing pages.
Scalable digital foundation
The same theme architecture can support future event parking growth without a full rebuild.

Technology used

The theme was built with custom WordPress development, PHP, Advanced Custom Fields, reusable front-end components, responsive HTML/CSS, JavaScript enhancements and a template-driven architecture designed for scalable event parking landing pages.

This work is especially relevant to custom WordPress development, technical SEO and support and maintenance for landing-page-led growth projects.

Next steps

This theme gives JustPark a flexible base for launching more venue and event parking landing pages while keeping the user experience and content model consistent. The same structure can continue evolving to support additional venues, campaign formats and conversion-focused improvements over time.

If you need a custom WordPress theme, reusable landing page architecture or ongoing support for a content-heavy platform, the most relevant starting points are usually custom WordPress development, support and maintenance and technical SEO foundations.
